Fair Day

Last Saturday, Julie and I headed over to the fair (Arthur was laid up in bed) so that Piper could see all the animals on display.  I'd love to take Piper on some rides, but Daddy swears they are not safe so she isn't allowed to get on them.  One day, I hope to convince him that she'll be just fine.  Anyway, Piper was a pretty scared at first when we went into the chicken/bunny building.  She refused to get out of her stroller or even get close to the chickens, which in turn made her fear the bunnies and then the cows.  She did get excited to see the piggies and I was able to get her out of her stroller.   I love how amazing each day is and the things that come out of this little girl's mouth.  It was the cutest thing when I took Piper up to see the piggies.  The pink pigs were "piggies" and the blackish pigs were "moos".  I love the funny things that she comes up with and the cute things that come out of her mouth each day.

Super happy about seeing the piggies

New House

Sorry it's been so long since I've added an pics of Piper and what we've been doing.  Since the 12th, Arthur and I have been away.  We had a weekend at bike week in OC and then as soon as we got back from there we headed down to Charlotte.  We had a long grueling week of looking at house after house, but finally the last house we looked at on Wednesday we both agreed on.  So, here is our new house!  We won't be moving until January and hopefully that will give me time to get adjusted to leaving all our friends :o(

Babies in the Bath

We headed over to Angie's the Sunday before Labor Day for a girl's night, but I brought Piper along so she could hang out with Will for a little while before the party got started.  Angie had some great pics of Piper in the tub so I figured I'd link her blog for this post!  Piper and Will in the Bathtub!

Labor Day Weekend

In addition to having fun riding on the tractor, Piper loves to run around my Dad's yard.  She has so much space to roam around outside and it's so nice because there's never any worry that she's going to get to close to the road.  Living in the country has so many benefits at this age!
Swinging on the Big Swing!
What a Monkey!
Showing Daddy what she learns in Little Gym
Cheesin' it up with an "apple"
(actually a walnut but she called it an apple)
Showing Daddy how to blow bubbles

Riding with Grandpa

I know this is a little late...On Labor Day weekend, we headed over to my Dad's house to have a cookout.  We all had a blast!  There are more pics to come of this great day, but I figured it'd be better in two posts. Dad decided to take Piper out once again on the tractor to see if she would enjoy it.  For the longest time, Piper was scared of how loud the tractor was, but we were pleasantly surprised and happy when she was just fine getting on with Paw paw.
Piper not too sure about it
Paw paw checking in
Oh boy this seems like fun
Checkin' out how this thing works

Both of them are really excited!

This is really fun!
I think Grandpa is enjoying it more than Piper
Watch out everyone here we come!
Hi everybody!
See ya later gators!

Big Girl Day!

I decided last week that Piper and I would start traveling down the road to becoming a big girl.  Piper is very verbal about her pee pee and poo poo, but not necessarily when it's happening.  She loves her potty and enjoys going in the bathroom when I do so she can sit and be like Mommy.  I soon realized that Piper isn't really ready for the potty just yet since she isn't fully away of her pee pee, but I captured some cute pics of her trying out her new potty.  Maybe in a month or so, we will try again.

No pictures or I will make this awful face!
Potty Time!
A little help for the pee pee
This is taking way too long!

Later that day, I let Piper try drinking from a big girl cup.  Months ago she had no problems drinking from a glass, but I guess she forgot that skill.  Since drinking from the cup wasn't working, Piper came up with her own method of getting the juice out...
Full mouth technique

Hand Dipping Technique
seem to work better than the Full Mouth Technique

To end the day: Big Girl Flip Flops
aka Mommy's flip flops

Child Labor

You can't beat cheap labor...especially free labor!  I think these are the best days to look back on when our children are teenagers and refusing to clean.  We can always remind them of how much they loved to help mommy and daddy clean.  I happened to catch Piper cleaning, which isn't to hard since she loves to help me clean.  If I leave cleaning materials out, she will always grab them up and help.  She especially loves sweeping the floors!  What a good little housekeeper!

"Are you saying I'm not doing this right?"
"Oh I need to add some of this stuff"

How do you get this stuff out?
You caught me!
I love cleaning Momma!

Sleep Part 2

As hard as it has been to get Piper to go to sleep, she pleasantly slept until 9 am one morning.  I had the opportunity to grab my camera and catch some shots of her waking up.

"Ugh!  Too much light"
"Mommy it is way too early for this!"
